Who is Damon …

Based in Houston, Texas, I am a dedicated freelance saxophonist committed to delivering memorable live performances with the utmost professionalism and genuine care. I prioritize reliability and timeliness to ensure a seamless and enjoyable event experience for every client.

Currently, I am performing with Danny Ray and the Atlantic Street Band, an award-winning wedding and event band, as well as Grammy-nominated Zydeco artist Dwayne Dopsie.

With extensive global experience performing all over the U.S., South America, Mexico, and Europe (France, Switzerland, Belgium, Poland, and Italy) from festivals (Umbria Jazz Festival, New Orleans Jazz Festival, Rochester Int'l. Jazz Fest, etc.) to private occasions. The variety of music has also been an important aspect, ranging from rhythm and blues, zydeco, latin, soul-funk, jazz, pop, big band and swing.

In addition, I bring over 20 years of experience as a Band Director and a decade of co-owning a music school, underscoring my deep dedication not only to music performance but also to music education and mentorship.

I received my Bachelor's degree from the University of Houston - Downtown and my Master's degree from Lamar University.
