Welcome! As a freelance artist based in Houston, I am always looking to be apart of a new and exciting project. I provide creative, reliable and timely service with professionalism and care.
I have had the opportunity to perform all over the U.S., South America and Europe (France, Switzerland, Belgium, Poland and Italy) from festivals (Umbria Jazz Festival, New Orleans Jazz Festival, Rochester Int'l. Jazz Fest, etc.) to private occasions. The variety of music has also been an important aspect, ranging from rhythm and blues, zydeco, latin, soul-funk, jazz, big band and swing.
I have also had the pleasure of sharing the stage with Maynard Ferguson, Roy Hargrove, James Burton (Sinatra and Elvis' guitar player), J.D. Sumner & The Stamps Quartet (Elvis' vocal show group)and Bill Lynn (Elvis' Hollywood drummer).
I have been an educator since 1993 teaching band and private lessons in the greater Houston area. I co-own D&D Music School with my twin brother, Derek, a trumpet player.
I am married to my wonderful and supportive wife Nicole and we have a beautiful daughter Grace.
